Chelation Therapy
EDTA Chelation Therapy
Chelation therapy is used to bind (chelate)
calcium plaque deposits in blood vessels. An intravenous (IV) synthetic
amino acid (EDTA) is the agent which removes these deposits from the
bloodstream and tissues. The end result of this type of treatment in some
people is increased blood flow and a marked decrease of excessive deposits
of plaques in arteries and organs such as the liver, kidney, heart and
brain.
Oral Chelation
Oral chelation is used in patients with heavy-metal toxicity. Therapeutic
doses of DMPS or DMSA, and alpha lipoic acid are used to bind (chelate)
heavy metals such as iron, lead, mercury and others, removing them from
the blood stream and tissues.
